Oahu has long been one of the leading destinations in the world for a long time. Its stunning landscapes and excellent weather conditions help make it a excellent spot to enjoy a tropical holiday. Oahu is undoubtedly the most hectic region located in the Hawaiian islands and several think it is a tad too crowded. Nonetheless, it truly depends upon what you are interested in in your trip. If you want plenty of selection including sun tanning, hiking, scubadivng, going shopping and wonderful eating; then Oahu certainly is the spot for you. There's a great deal of stuff you can do on Oahu. You could visit a number of occasions without having seen every single thing. You can do some window shopping shopping during the day and after that head up to the North Shore to watch the surfers and luxuriate with a nice vino or two while watching the sun set.

One of the most popular tourist attractions on Oahu is the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC). The PCC is a large "living museum" that occupies 42 acres near the North Shore. Inside, you will find villages that represent life from eight islands in Polynesia. Staff re-create life on these islands by demonstrating arts and crafts from these different areas. It is a great place to spend a day with your family and be sure to stay late to attend their world famous luau and feast. There is an additional cost, but it is a sight to behold!

Another favorite destination for families is the Dole Plantation. This neat little spot attracts over 1 million visitors per year! When you are there, make sure to take a ride on the Pineapple Express train. The narrated train rides around the plantation and shows off some of best views in Oahu. Once you are done the train then take a try at the World's Largest Maze. There are over 14,000 pineapple plants that make up this huge 3 acre maze. Also, don't forget to visit the gift shop where you will find some very unique souveniers and make sure to try some Dole frozen yogurt. So great on a hot day!

One of the most magnificent areas to spend a day is Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. If you are looking for a place to snorkel then this is the spot. The bay is protected by three huge cliff faces that keep the swimming area calm and clear. You will swim among colorful tropical fish, live coral, octopus and sea turtles. When you're done snorkeling, you can relax on the beach and soak up the rays and just enjoy the scenery. Don't forget to bring a camera!

The most obvious place that everyone should visit is amazing Waikiki Beach. If you are a beach lover then this is heaven on earth. It can definitely get a little crowed in some spots, but it is so big that you can usually find your own bit of space you can call your own. It is a great place to spend a morning, afternoon or a whole day.

This is just a small sampling of the diverse things you can do on the island of Oahu. There are so many cool things you can do on Oahu and the other Hawaiian Islands. If you want to get the most out of your trip, do some research and find out all you can about the attractions in Oahu. Making a list of ones you "must see" will make your trip a lot easier.
