More On Whale Watching Channel Islands

Whales are the largest mammals to exist in the current generation and its a known fact that they live in the waters. Despite the vast expanses of water that are in existence many scientists have not even discovered a tenth of what lays in its depths. In many occasions only the huge animals gets noticed that is why they are unique in their status. This activity in itself is the practice of observing whales and dolphins in their natural habitats the Whale watching Channel Islands may be scientific or recreational in nature.

One of the channels that is common to viewers is the Santa Barbara channel that is almost all year round filled with whales. This is because majority of the other species of whales are found on the stretch. Commoners in this field are the humpback whale which tends to be found in nine of the twelve months in a year. The second runners up is the blue whale which also tends to frequent the isle of Santa Barbara

Its evidently beautiful, tends to looks harmless and strikingly fast but this strikingly stealthy killer is a wolf is a sheep skin. The orca is its common name and its also known as the killer whale. It rarely goes unnoticed for its beauty is striking. They are found In the Anacapa islands and for all the people who know about the species know not to dare touch it and also not to stand along the shore whenever its around as its known to hunt things found on land near the shore.

The blue one, is the largest mammal roaming the sea, by nature its a calm giant and it rarely attacks any other animal and to make things more complex it is a herbivore thus no flesh eating, more often than not this leviathan mammal is viewed in the Santa Cruz stretch of the sea. And in many occasions it is not seen in one but in a whole pack this is because they travel in whole packs or in some instances a mother and calf.

For any watcher the channel national island park is a paradise that evokes emotion whenever mentioned. This is because it contains not only the common culprits from the orcas blue whales and humpback whale but also has the rare grey whale that is a common site to all who visit this is because it gracefully embraces the waters of the park and is a common site in the locality.

Since time in memorial there has always existed these channels but long ago they were not really viewed as channels but they were viewed as points where one could hunt down the whales for food, this notion slowly changed as time progressed and slowly but surely the people started embracing the culture of this activity which eventually turned out become an economic activity in future.

Many people encamp along the migratory routes as they do not want to miss a chance to have a glimpse of these giants. On the other hand, scientists have been known to follow these sea giants to all destinations across the sea. They have also been allowed to touch and even treat the giants at the Island channel.

In many occasions the Channel Islands offers many a chance to view the whales. This is an adventurous way of appreciating nature and its beauty and more makes it a means to earn a living for some people who work towards making these watching events possible.
