The Different Types Of Pool Canopy

By John Cook

Swimming is not only a sport but a recreational activity that enable s one to be physically fit. People especially adore it as a recreational activity. People mostly swim when the sun is hot but go to sunbathe by the side of the pond. Sometimes, you may want to be in the poo but under a shade at the same time. Below are some of the available pool canopy.

The most common is the shade sails. As the name suggests, they provide shade and are in the form of sails. These come in different colours and can give your pool whatever look you prefer. They are really strong and cannot be blown away by the wind. This fact makes them a bit more expensive. In the event you need to cover the whole pool, you may need more than one.

Pergolas. The word may sound new to people and most likely sound like a petrol station. However, they are just another one of the canopy options. They cover only one end of the pond and are usually made of high-quality wood that cannot be affected by water. These are meant to provide a kind of beauty that is reflected only up to where the shade starts.

There is the option of retractable canopies. These have a control area where you can close the whole thing or leave it a little bit open like a skylight. This, however, does not mean the pond is in an enclosed place. It covers the whole pond, and it is up to you to decide when to open and close the company. Keeping it always closed will make it somewhat an indoor pool.

The other option is one that has been around for years. These are umbrellas. They may actually add a stylish look to your loch depending on the kind you pick up. They are a way to provide shade for people both in and out of the loch. They are also very adjustable. You can move them towards the direction of the sun as you wish.

Some canopies appear to be more permanent than others although they can always be brought down. One such is known as a cantilever. It is usually put in place by cementing two vertical poles to the sides of the loch and them, in turn, hold a canopy over part of the pond. Since it cannot be retracted, it does not cover the whole pool.

There are retractable enclosures. They do enclose the loch, but they still do let in the light that is needed which can still be controlled. For the warmth of the sun, the roof part has to be retracted. However, not the whole structure is retracted.

A pool side free-standing structure is not necessarily a canopy. After a deep in the loch, you can kick back with a drink with friends or family. It is a very serene environment and very relaxing. It is actually a great way to relax.
