This Is Why You Should Choose Puget Sound Cruises

By Brenda Watson

The Salish Sea and Puget Sound are arguably the most majestic and intriguing areas to cruise around the world. You get to see where the Olympic Mountains and Cascade meet the sea and from a stunning archipelago. Sail on the clear, blue waters to scenic, historic towns by the seaside, like Anacortes. In such towns, you can enjoy partaking in traditional, smoked salmon eating. Taking a journey through the islands of San Juan, you get to witness the breathtaking wildlife such as seals, eagles, and whales. The local expert guides and historians onboard have plenty of lessons on the cultural influences of the Suquamish tribes and Norwegians. These and plenty of other reasons are why you should consider Puget Sound Cruises.

The route that the ship takes begins at the very scenic Seattle, Washington making its way to Puget Sound. On the way, a detour to the Anacortes is accounted for. This place is relatively warm compared to the areas that surround it. It is, therefore, advisable to make most of your time here. Go to the Deception Pass State Park.

San Juan is the next island to sail. Areas such as the deception pass and Skagit bay are lovely places. You will pass through complex inlets and water channels. This is an experience you shall enjoy and live to remember. There are beautiful animals and amazing scenery. Photographs taken here are beautiful and keep the memories alive.

Another place you will enjoy visiting is Friday Harbor, WA. It is on San Juan Island, and it is a beautiful place rich with culture. The San Juan museum is a place to visit while you are there. There, you will learn about the island even as it was many years ago. You can also visit the beautiful beaches, the mountains, and enjoy the valleys. It has a diverse landscape worth exploring.

At Port Angeles, you can enjoy exciting shops, excellent views of the mountains and harbor, restaurants and fresh air. The downtown is very convenient and boasts of outdoor art, flowers and friendly people. If you have your passport ready, you can make your way to Victoria, a nearby Canadian town.

Little Norway also, known as Poulsbo, was where Norwegian fishers and lodgers who moved there in 1892 settled. They made the landscape look similar to their original home. You can access this beautiful place by moving towards Front Street. This incorporates a few specialized shops, several art galleries, and murals of that old world.

You will come across beautiful Islands containing beautiful forests and snowcapped mountains as you make your way through the Admiralty Bay into port Townsend. There are many things to look forward to in this area, such as the historical background, art galleries, and museums. This will help you learn more about the place as you create special moments. Fort Worden State Park is located here as well.

You can finally rest at Seattle after a whole week of sailing. This is not the end of the fun, however. You can enjoy the sounds and sights offered by the Pacific Northwest.
