I had planned a trip to Dallas to visit college friends and was looking for a luxury hotel in a great location. On paper, the Warwick Mel-rose Hotel looked like the perfect place. It is a restored historic property conveniently located in the Oak Lawn/ Up Town part of Dallas and is within walking distance to various shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants. I found the hotel charming albeit not as "grand" as I had imagined. I wanted to love this hotel but, unfortunately, my stay was marred by a series of bad experiences.

In the Oak Lawn district of Dallas, a 10-minute drive west from downtown, the Warwick Mel-rose is a luxury hotel, which itself has a fine-dining restaurant, the Landmark. Oak Lawn is a prosperous, residential area, which has a number of gay- and lesbian-friendly bars and clubs. The neighborhood boasts an eclectic selection of eateries supplying cuisines from around the world, as well as traditional American fare.
Year after year we travel to Dallas and always stay at The Mel-rose because it is always consistent. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. The location is close to everything. We had lunch at the restaurant and it was fantastic. They had a great menu and the food was delicious!!! We will continue to go back.
The Mel-rose is well known in Dallas and perfectly located in uptown close to good restaurants and buying areas. It is also close to the AAC to catch a Mavs or Stars game. Service at the Mel-rose is impeccable and the hotel lobby areas, lobby bar and rooms are very upscale and comfortable.
This is our favorite hotel in Dallas. We can not say enough good things about it - this years visit was our 6th and we will return.
Very pleased with the Warwick in Dallas. Lovely foyer and public rooms. The Library bar is not to be missed, nor is breakfast in the restaurant. The staff is very accommodating and attentive, without being intrusive. Our room was fresh, clean, very comfortable. The bathroom was large.
Overall, the The Warwick Mel-rose Hotel in Dallas is a historical hotel that offers both food and entertainment. The hotel does not have a luxurious spa but it does offer places of comfort like with its Library Room and Landmark Restaurant.
This is a nice, historic hotel situated in Dallas. I loved the lounge in this hotel: It was very comfortable. The room was pretty spacious. The service here is excellent. The decor here is amazing and the furniture is great as well. The hotel has great amenities. I had problems checking-in though for some reason.
