Tiger Wood's Golf Swing Technique - Why It's So Effective

Golf sensation Tiger Woods' golf swing technique has been the subject of many interesting studies.

One thing you will notice is that this leading golfer is that he has a high fitness level and amazing flexibility, and this contributed to his golf career. With his career, there have countless time where he's been named and crowned in the minds of many as the greatest golfer in sports history.

You'll notice that in the Tiger Woods golf swing technique, in order to comfortably reach far back, Wood utilizes his flexibility at the back of the swing.

As he begins his swing, his level of fitness and muscle strength enables him to build up club head velocity by turning his torso quickly and pressing his right leg forward. The waste of energy is minimal as he his position above the golf ball is maintained. Driving through, Woods uses his hips, shoulders and wrists to concentrate his force and create a high initial ball speed. Research has shown that within a few feet off the tee, the ball is usually traveling at about 180 miles per hour. The average tour pro usually manages only 160 miles per hour.

If you've watched Woods and his swing technique, you'll notice that he allows the allows the momentum of his club head to extend his follow-through far around his back, and this completes a club head rotation that's long and smooth.

Someone who is not physically fit or doesn't regularly work out couldn't possibly achieve Wood's golf swing technique. As a matter of fact, to achieve an effective golf swing technique, you need to have conditioned muscles to enable you to consistently perform at be at your best.

No more is golf considered a leisure sport where the players try to avoid breaking a sweat by moving around the course in electric golf cars.

However, you don't need rigorous strength exercises and stretching just to achieve a good golf swing technique. But a lot of stretching is involved in golf exercises. To build specifically on strength rather than muscle, there is lifting of light weights.
