Finding a Good Hookah

By John McCree

Buying a hookah isn't easy because all hookahs aren't created equal. Before buying a hookah you must have a clear idea of how you will use the hookah. Below are a few questions you may want to think about:

1. How often will I use the hookah in a week?

2. Will it be a permanent fixture in my home? Will I have to transport it?

3. Will the size matter?

4. Will I use it as a decoration when I am not using it?

5. How many people will use this hookah in one smoking session?

6. How much time do I want my smoking sessions to last?

7. Will I want the hookah to suit the dcor of my home or a specific room?

Indeed, all of these questions could educate your hookah buying decision.

Where Should I Find a Fine Hookah

Just like a lot of consumer products in the 21st century, hookahs are available both in shops and online. If you go to a shisha shop, you can seek advice from an expert who can assist you in choosing a hookah. And then there is the benefit that you can check the hookah physically before buying it.

If you are a a more knowledgeable hookah smoker, or are okay with not having the ability to physically observe merchandise before purchasing, you may prefer to purchase a hookah on the web.

Types of Hookahs

Here are some of the commonly used types of hookahs:

1. Egyptian Hookah - Really common, conventional, reasonably priced hookah, characterized by large, thin stems, and generally made from copper, brass, or stainless steel.

2. Syrian Hookah - The Syrian hookah is a little bit more expensive than Egyptian hookah. This kind of hookah is characterized by a hoseport with a more upward angle.

3. Crystal Hookah - These kind of hookahs are extremely elegant and very expensive. Crystal hookahs may also be used for decoration in the home owing to its design and classiness.

4. Rotating Hookah - Made from stainless steel, these kind of hookahs are ideal for use by multiple people in one smoking session because of the rotating base, which makes it easy to pass the hose. These hookahs are not more expensive than Egyptian hookahs.

5. Mini Hookah - For traveling smokers, or people who have to store their hookahs somewhere with little space available, mini-hookahs may be the way to go, and are typically reasonably priced.

6. Specialty Hookah - In order to fit your specific personality, or make a bolder statement, specialty hookahs can provide with some spectacular designs. Prices range all over.

Before Making the Purchase

It's not a bad idea to test out a variety of hookahs before making your own purchase. The purpose of all types of hookahs is similar, to smoke. But specific characteristics of a hookah can make it a much better match for you. For instance, some users prefer a smaller hookah to a larger hookah because the latter uses more suction to smoke. Furthermore, a larger bowl (typically holds x ounces of shisha) can last significantly longer than average bowls (designed for x ounces of shisha).

It is a great idea to try different hookahs at a hookah bar before your buy one. The next hookah you get may end up staying with you for life, so make it a good purchase!
