Red Hairstyles

By Darren Hartley

Red hair styles can be for everyone. It is all a matter of finding the right hue. The trick is to look at the eye color. A cool toned red with eggplant or plum undertones is best for women with blue eyes. Something that is more golden, or orange-coppery in color should be the option for women with brown eyes.

Using deep conditioning masks regularly will keep standing out red hair styles looking vibrant. Perfect skin is a prerequisite to red hair. Red hair pulls out the red from any complexion. However, having red hair is not only for the fair skinned, freckled girls. Anyone can enjoy a fiery mane with a little know-how about color theories.

Level three of the red color equates to a violet-red or cabernet, level four would be a beautiful auburn color, levels six to seven are warmer reds and levels seven to eight are the strawberry blondes. The use of a brown based shade for adding richness and a more natural look is the ideal option in coloring or highlighting to don red hair styles.

Medium skin tones have more pigments. Red hair styles for this skin tone must consist of medium coppery blonde to medium auburn shades. Dark eggplant hues must be steered away from as they are bound to make the skin yellow for women with medium skin tones.

Julia Roberts is the prime example of a woman with medium skin tone who always look great in her red hair styles. No one does it better than Rihanna when speaking of women with darker skin tones who don red hair, at the same time. A woman can not go wrong by choosing the right idol to emulate.

It is the consensus of colorists that red hair styles suit women with pinkish or cool skin the best. It is actually a surprise to find that women with olive skin or golden hues have a tougher time finding a red hairstyle that comes out flattering to their skin tone.
