Millisle Top Tourist Sights

Millisle is a cool village near Bangor and Ards in Northern Ireland. It is situated on the Ards Peninsula and is in County Down. This town is just a really popular coastal resort and it also sits not too far away from Belfast, which is the Northern Irish capital city. There is a marvellous windmill in Millisle called Ballycopeland.

You should try and get a trip out to Ballycopeland Windmill when backpacking in Millisle, Northern Ireland. Best Places to See:

- Irish Church (Church of Ireland) in Millisle - The real football ground here is Adams Park for Abbey Villa F.C. - Ballycopeland Windmill and the area around it including the information centre

- The park by the beach and the reservoir - Harbour and down to the beach - The Marvellous Church of Saint Patrick, the famous dude

- Millisle Presbyterian Church - Northern Ireland Prison Service College - The First and Last Pub (allegedly visited by King William III)

- Millisle Young Offender's Residence

- 12th July Lodges go from the main Orange Hall in Millisle

- An Airfield strip but no airport and this one is incomplete

- Woburn Road Farm

- Eden Pottery Centre and Cafe

The total population of this zone is around 2300 people

Where to be based overnight:

- Millisle Caravan Park

- A massive house known locally as the "Pinecroft"

- Ocean water drifting in

- Another camping zone near the village or settlement of Ballywhiskin

Head to the "First & Last" public house for a local beer and a bite

Our Millisle Secrets:

- It has been known that families of Jewish tradition and heritage were looked after here at a farm in Millisle. The location was the Woburn Road.

- There are less references to wall murals and political messages here in Millisle.

Transport:

- There are bus services to and from Belfast including the 10A and 7B. Most of these go to the main street in the village.
