Some people take vacations to Hawaii and other decide to go mountain climbing in the tropics. If you choose the second option, training for Kilimanjaro will be required. The high snow covered mountain, is an attraction to many experienced and first time climbers. Before embarking on the trip, you should know what to expect and how to overcome it.

To make the climb you need to be physically fit. The training for your body should start about two months before the planned date. Getting to know the team before the ascent, is one of the things you can do to make the expedition easier. The party will be made up of different personalities with varied opinions. Knowing how they react will make the climb easier, as it will reduce the possibilities if friction between the people.

While training you should ensure you have all the necessary documentation to be let into the country. The right passports, visa, immunization and vaccination documentation. If you have travelling insurance, you should also ensure your documents are in order and cover the trip.
