An Amazing Trip From Panama To Colombia By Boat

A cruise between these two regions is with no doubt among the greatest world trips. The journey from Panama to Colombia by boat, which takes approximately two days, overshadows any trip by road or air. It is characterized by sailing around the magnificent white sand and isles bounded by swaying palm trees and incredible beaches full of white sand.

Meals vary depending on which watercraft you choose, some have a big lunch with small breakfast while others big breakfast and vice versa. Most of the trips take four to five days to sail from Panama to Colombia. Weather is always a major factor when it comes to sailing. The length of the entire trip can be prolonged if the weather is bad. When it rains you may have to stay for another day. With no wind during open sea sailing, it also takes longer to travel. Hostels have to be booked ahead of time to allow people to rest and enjoy the islands. If it happens to rain the captain will offer an additional day to your trip. To avoid inconveniences have a flexible schedule.

The engine is always noisy and it also helps the vessel get warm, some captains offer trips to the Panama or Colombia using the border which is around four to five day trip where you sail through the entire islands and finish at the Colombian town Sapzurro, avoid the dreadful two day trip across the open ocean.

Most of the crafts navigating in the Panama come from San Blas Isles. Possibility of high charges does not translate to less travelling time to Colombia. Due to unavailability of buses on this route, more time will be spent sailing through these gorgeous islands. Travel agent can easily arrange for alternative transport means to the watercraft. On the eve of the journey, arrangements by the captain are made for a convention to confirm on passports and additional necessary travel documents. Indigenous hotel is reserved for the night and departure sets early the following morning.

Size, quality of services and the captain are among the factors that determine the cost of travel. It is well noting that a cheaper boat does not mean that the trip will be of a low standard but rather means the captain is the one with low costs.

The quality of vessels operating between Panama and Colombia can vary. The higher the quality of a cruiser the higher the cost of the trip, so if you get a cruiser sailing from Panama to Colombia and having all meals served at a favorable cost is a good deal.
