Knowing More About Nihon Sankei

By Freddy McCandless

You will definitely see a lot of tall buildings in Japan since it is one of the leaders when it comes to technology after all. But when you are tired of the hubbub of the colossal cities, why not head on down to their Nihon Sankei? Let's not forget that this country is also stunning for its rich environment. So here are the three most scenic areas, the Nihon Sankei. There are Matsushima, Miyajima, and Amanohashidate. Go ahead and read on.

Matsushima

Matsushima Bay is proudly one of the top three scenic areas in Japan. Imagine a bay with over 200 small islets covered in lush pine trees. It certainly lives up to being part of the list. Any tourist really should certainly go to this place. But definitely the ultimate way to enjoy it is by cruise boat. Some just make rounds starting at ending at the same place, Matsushima, or you can take one that will drop you off at Shingama which is one of the nearby cities. Probably the farthest these tours go is to Oku-Matsushima

Miyajima

If you happen to be in Hiroshima, you must definitely take the hour long boat ride to the small island Miyajima. Probably what this is most famous for is it's the torii gate. This is a huge gate that when the tide is high it seems as it if it is simply floating on the water. Like nothing you have ever seen before, it well deserves being part of the top three list. When it comes to island getaways, this one is actually perfect for lovers. After all, it is really tranquil and charming. You even get the chance to see some deer if you are lucky.

Amanohashidate

Last on the list is Amanohashidate. In English, this is translated as bridge in heaven. Basically you have a 3.6 kilometer long sand bar that is riddled in lush pine trees. This is found running across the Miiyazu Bay at the northern Kyoto Prefecture. However, it is said that the spot with the best view of it is on the hills at the other side of the bay. They also say that for you to in fact see the bridge in heaven instead of just a really long sand bar is that you have to first face your back to the bay, bend over, then you should look from between your legs.
