The Unheard Things About The Haunted Long Island

By Daphne Bowen

Long Island is a historical place that was inhabited by Native Americans many centuries ago. There are several myths and misconceptions about this geographical location narrated everywhere. Most of these tales are based on the ancient occurrences of this area and insights perceived by various people. There are very many artifacts in Haunted Long Island that have transformed the place into an archaeological site.

There was a hilly feature that existed many years ago characterized by a large forest cover and a road passing across. Several people died on this natural landscape and their spirits were seen by local tourists within the area. There is also a health facility that was brought down in flames by a mad nurse who killed everyone inside. Several teenagers also committed suicide along a road and their bones are at the crime scene to date. Spirits of these dead people traumatized tourists who came to these areas for recreation.

A mental health facility which collapsed hence burying several people inside, joins the list of superstitions too. This was a very grave massacre which led to loss of very many innocent lives who to date can be heard screaming for help. Within the premises, an underground pathway, which was found by curious historians, facilitated inhuman practices such as subjection to electric shock. Ancient people had very cruel punishing techniques.

Lakes and rivers were used as shrines and places of magic by the ancient men, before technology eroded our ancient cultural practices. Countless deaths were also witnessed on the lakes mostly due to brutal murders. Other people used to drown themselves as a way of committing suicide. A married female drowned herself too after the pain of losing her husband was unbearable. Her bridegroom was untimely killed by an anonymous passer by after they had just gotten married.

A mansion which belonged to a successful mogul was converted into a catholic facility and there are spirits of a young girl wandering around. The girl, who succumbed to typhoid and is normally seeing wearing a dark colored dress, was a daughter to the wealthy man. Such cases have been reported by students and catholic officials who currently live in that building.

A farmhouse in Long Island has for years been haunted by spirits of a young adult who used an axe to kill three people. The criminal was later convicted of the murder, killed and then buried in an anonymous grave and later his descendants saw his ghost in their house.

A woman was also cold bloodily murdered in her house which was later transformed into a hotel. Most clients of this hotel have complained about hearing strange voices of a woman in pain. Another twenty year old girl was also brutally assassinated near the initial crime scene and her spirits are still wandering around.

In conclusion, myths surrounding this island are difficult to be justified because of their historical setting. People have raised concerns about these their validity too since no eye witnesses are alive. According to the bill of rights, everyone has freedom of speech hence no one should be victimized based on these narratives.
