Copacabana in Brazil is made up of a four kilometer stretch of beach that instantly conjures up mind pictures of sunshine, blue seas, beautiful tanned bodies and long iced exotic drinks filled with fruit is situated in the southern zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This small strip is possibly one of the most famous spots on earth and annually untold numbers are drawn to it like metal chips to magnets. In 1859 a statue of Christ was proposed. However it was only unveiled in 1931 after nine years in construction. It is considered the second largest Art Deco statue in the world and is an inspiring awesome sight for all who are privileged to see it.
