A Quick Overview Of Luton Airport Parking Options

By Carol Lamb

Finding a car park when you were going on a flight used to be very stressful. It was difficult to guess where the nearest car park was located, how much it would cost and what kind of security was going to be at the car park when you were gone. All of these challenges have been addressed by the designers of Luton Airport Parking to give you the parking experience that will give you peace of mind while you are on your holiday or trip and will answer your questions prior to your leaving.

The car parks in Luton are designated as "On Airport" or "Off Airport". The costs for parking vary based on how close you are to the airport and which type of services you require. An individual who is going on a long trip or wants to save on parking will find that "Off Airport" car parks, while further from the terminals, offer many of the same conveniences as the closer car parks. For long-term parking, the Long term Pink parking is an affordable and more convenient choice when you want your car in a safe and secure location.

Pink parking is a long term car park that has been awarded the Parkmark Award. This is an award that is presented when a car park meets stringent standards for lighting, security and cleanliness. The Chief of Police Officers makes the award after the car park has been thoroughly inspected and gives individuals using the car park the assurance that it meets the standards and guidelines for safety that is important when your car is going to be left for a long period of time while you are on holiday.

Security features at Pink Parking lots include security lighting, fencing, a security barrier and CCTV. In addition there are security patrols conducted on a 24-hour basis. If your flight is leaving or arriving at an odd hour, the car park is open and you can access your car 24-hours a day throughout the week. For added security, car owners keep their keys with them when they travel. The transfer to the terminal is normally on a 10 minute schedule and transfers are made via a comfortable bus.

When you are going to be gone for a term of over 3 days, Green parking can meet your needs. These car parks have many of the same security measures as the Pink Parking, but are normally more conveniently located near the terminals. The transfers are usually every 10 minutes so you will have no problem making it to your flight on time. Short term parking, or Yellow parking is normally closest to the terminals and used primarily for short trips. The security measures for these car parks are limited since the cars are not on the lot for an extended period of time.

When you want to find the most convenient means of getting to your flight and do not want to take the time to park your vehicle and transfer to a terminal, there are other options available. The Meet and Greet options allows you to drive your car to your terminal where you are met by a chauffeur who takes command of your car and drives it to the appropriate car park. When you return from your trip, the chauffeur is waiting at the terminal for you where you will be able to put your luggage away and go. This is extremely convenient for individuals who have a lot of luggage, don't have time for parking their car, or are disabled and do not want to move from transfer to terminal.

When you find your self running late and just want to make it to the terminals as quickly as possible, using Priority Parking can solve all of your problems. You simply drive to the secured Priority Parking area and leave your keys with Valet Parking reception. The reception area is a short walk to the terminals. Valets take your car to the proper car park while you are gone and when you return, your car will be waiting in the same place that you left it.

It is important to book your parking as soon as you have decided on the type of parking that you want to use when you go on your holiday to trip. When you are making a reservation for the car park, you will be give important information about the area where you should take your car, what documentation you will need for the attendants and other details about the vehicle you will be bringing. Luton airport parking is one of the few airports that is easy to navigate and the staff are very supportive.
